New flooding has been recorded in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      April 22, 2026 11:57 Incidents On April 21, new cases of flooding were registered in the Nizhny Novgorod region, reported the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations. In the working settlement of Krasnye Baki, water has entered five household plots. Additionally, in the Pochinkovsky district, a low-water bridge between the village of Diveevo Usad and the village of Vasilievka was flooded. As of April 21, the flood situation remains in 15 municipal entities. The areas affected by flooding include the urban district of Nizhny Novgorod (Kstovsky district), Arzamas, Bor, Navashinsky, Semyonovsky, Voskresensky, Volodarsky, Gaginsky, Pavlovsky, Pochinkovsky, Sergachsky, Sechenovsky, Uren, Shatkovsky, and Krasnobakovsky districts. A total of 80 household plots, 12 low-water bridges, and 8 sections of roads have been flooded in the region. No areas have been cleared of water in the past 24 hours. There are no fatalities or injuries as a result of the flooding. Evacuation of residents to temporary accommodation centers is not required. A round-the-clock collection and monitoring of data on the development of the flood situation has been organized in the region. Daily control is maintained over the work of operational groups in the municipalities. It was previously reported that floodwaters damaged the embankment near the Shukhov Tower.
