      On April 21, 2026, at 20:00, Culture and Leisure In Nizhny Novgorod, a new procurement has been announced for the completion of the renovation of the Fireplace Hall of the State Cultural Institution "House of V.M. Burmistrova with Interior," which houses the Gorky Literary Museum. This information is reported on the state procurement website. The customer is "GlavUKS." The contract price is 6.6 million rubles. The contractor will need to install Pierre cardboard in the hall ("Pierre cardboard" is a technique for creating durable decorative elements that imitate wood carving, gypsum stucco, or stone. - Ed. note). Applications for participation in the procurement are accepted until April 28. The results of the contractor selection are planned to be summarized on April 30. The deadline for the work is from the moment the contract is signed until November 30, 2026. Earlier, in February, two procurements related to the completion of work in the museum were announced, totaling over 16 million rubles. The first concerned the continuation of the restoration of the Fireplace Hall - with the recreation of interiors and the lost artistic carving on oak elements. The initial contract price was 12.13 million rubles. The second procurement was related to the improvement of the museum's territory and was estimated at 4.05 million rubles. It is worth noting that the building was closed for restoration in 2019. In 2020, a fire occurred at the site, which slowed down the restoration. In 2022, the contract with the previous contractor - the company "AVK Group" - was terminated. In January of this year, it was reported that the restoration was almost 80% complete, with full completion planned for the summer of 2026.
