The treasures of friendship
On April 17, employees of the Children's Library of the Municipal Autonomous Institution "Cultural Center" in the city of Pervomaysk held an ethnographic quest "Treasures of Friendship" as part of the All-Russian event "Biblionight - 2026," dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. This year's theme is "In the friendship of peoples lies the strength of Russia!" Guests were treated to a true celebration of friendship, where everyone could touch upon the customs, cuisine, games, and creativity of the Russian, Tatar, and Mordovian peoples. The library transformed into a space of three cultures. The children visited various stations, where they received a letter for completing tasks. At the end of the meeting, a key word was formed - "UNITY." At the "Russian People" station, a librarian in a traditional Russian costume welcomed guests and invited them to explore the mysteries of Russian culture. The children recalled symbols of Russia and participated in the "Assemble the Puzzle" contest, where they had to put together a matryoshka, a samovar, and a balalaika. In the "Musical Courtyard," the kids demonstrated their skills with folk musical instruments: spoons, whistles, and a tambourine. Young musicians performed the Russian folk song "Oh, you my porches." A special event was the participation of the representative of the Tatar people, Galina Zarifovna Utesheva, in the program. At the "Tatar People" station, she engagingly and emotionally introduced the children to the rich culture of her ethnicity. Great attention was paid to traditional Tatar costumes and holidays. The children joyfully played the traditional Tatar game "Tübeteyka." In the "Tatar Cuisine" contest, the kids had to choose traditional Tatar dishes from a variety of dishes from different peoples. The "Mordovian People" station became a true journey into the world of Mordovian traditions! The children enthusiastically learned about colorful Mordovian costumes, the diverse cuisine of the Mordovian people, and eagerly played the folk game "Keys." At the "Theatrical Bench," the children actively participated in an exciting creative task dedicated to the friendship of peoples, composing a fairy tale "The Journey of a Friendly Company," adding various adjectives to the text. The game "Braid the Braid" with ribbons of red, blue, and white colors, symbolizing the unity and friendship of peoples, was particularly engaging. A special joy for the guests was the tasting of national cuisine dishes: Russian and Mordovian pancakes, Tatar pie, and Tatar national sweets. "Biblionight-2026" became a true celebration of unity, showing how much common ground different peoples share and how interesting it is to learn about each other.
