The bridge over the Tesha in the Nizhny Novgorod region has been cleared of water.

      April 21, 2026 12:14 Society On April 20, no new cases of flooding were recorded in the Nizhny Novgorod region, reported the regional emergency management agency. At the same time, water receded from one low-water bridge in the urban district of Arzamas. This refers to the crossing over the Tesh River in the village of Zarechnoye. As of today, flooding persists in 14 municipalities of the region. The flood zone includes the urban district of Nizhny Novgorod (Kstovo district), Arzamas, Bor, Navashino, Semyonov, Voskresensk, Volodarsk, Gagino, Pavlovo, Pochinki, Sergach, Sechenovo, Uren and Shatkov districts. A total of 75 household plots, 11 low-water bridges, and 8 sections of roads remain flooded. As a result of the flooding, there are no casualties or injuries. Evacuation of residents to temporary accommodation points is not being conducted. A round-the-clock collection and monitoring of information about the flood situation has been organized. Daily control over the work of operational groups in municipalities is being carried out.
