Nizhny Novgorod region will join the online festival "Games of Russia".

      April 19, 2026 11:00 Society The project "Flagships of Education" of the Presidential platform "Russia - a country of opportunities" launches a nationwide online festival "Games of Russia" (12+), dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region will be able to contribute to the preservation of cultural traditions and share information about folk and author games of the region.

      The festival started on April 15 - on International Day of Culture. It will take place in an online format based on the "Another Business" service and will represent a nationwide action that will unite residents from different regions of the country around the common idea of preserving cultural heritage and using game formats for educational work with children and youth.

      Games related to the culture, traditions, everyday life, and history of the peoples of Russia or specific regions of the country can be submitted to the festival. These can be both folk games, known and loved by many generations, and author games inspired by the history and features of a particular territory. Such games often become elements of educational and upbringing work with children, helping to introduce them to the cultural heritage of their country in an engaging way. Materials for inclusion in the collection are accepted until September 15.

      Anyone interested can participate in the project, with a recommended age of 14 years and older. To do this, you need to go to the "Another Business" service and complete the task - fill out a questionnaire with information about the game: tell its story, as well as describe in detail the necessary equipment, location, course, and rules for conducting the game. If a participant has an author game related to the traditions or features of the region, it can also be presented at the festival.

      After that, the participant publishes a post on their page in the social network "VKontakte" with a detailed and visual description of the game. It is advisable to supplement the publication with videos, photos, infographics, or any other materials that will help better showcase the gameplay and mechanics. The publication should mention the project "Flagships of Education" of the Presidential platform "Russia - a country of opportunities" and add the hashtags #FlagshipsOfEducation #AnotherBusiness #RussiaCountryOfOpportunities.

      "Each region of our country has its own games that have been passed down from generation to generation and are an important part of the cultural code. Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region will be able to share such games and contribute to the filling of the common collection. Through such simple formats, children get acquainted with traditions, learn to interact with each other, and show respect for the culture of their own and other peoples," said Artem Mironov, the head of the "Flagships of Education" project of the Presidential platform "Russia - a country of opportunities."

      As a result of the online festival, a digital collection will be created, and the most interesting games will be presented at the final event of the "Flagships of Education" project. The collection will be available for download on the project website for further use in work. It will become a convenient practical tool for primary school teachers, counselors, additional education teachers, and organizers of leisure and educational events. Game scenarios can be used in preparing thematic days, sports holidays, cultural festivals, adaptation, and team-building events for children and youth.

      All festival participants who submitted games will receive 510 points from the "Another Business" service, which can be exchanged for souvenir products, educational and cultural events, useful certificates, and other prizes.

      Pre-registration for the new season of the "Flagships of Education" project of the Presidential platform "Russia - a country of opportunities" has already started. Applications can be submitted on the project website.

      The "Flagships of Education" project allows identifying the most motivated teams and prepared leaders among educators, education managers, and students and contributes to the professional development of participants through competitive tracks, additional events, and services. It is conducted as part of the implementation of the federal project "Russia - a country of opportunities" of the national project "Youth and Children" with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).
