Nizhny Novgorod residents are invited to participate in the sixth season of Knowledge.Award.

      On April 19, 2026, at 10:33, the Russian Society "Knowledge" launched the sixth season of the country's main educational award, Knowledge Prize. Applications are accepted until September 2026 on the official website. You can register yourself, projects, companies, and other individuals who have made a significant contribution to education in 2025-2026. Long-term lecturing activities will be separately recognized within the framework of a new nomination named after S.I. Vavilov. The Knowledge Prize is implemented as part of the national project "Youth and Children."

      Applications can be submitted in 16 nominations, including two new ones. The nomination "For Contribution to the Preservation of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia" is dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia: educators and projects that promote the strengthening of interethnic unity through common traditional values are invited to participate.

      To recognize achievements in lecturing activities and to strengthen the traditions of domestic education, a nomination named after S.I. Vavilov—the first chairman of the Board of the All-Union Society for the Dissemination of Political and Scientific Knowledge (since 1963, the Society "Knowledge")—has been established. Representatives from various fields demonstrating a high level of lecturing mastery can apply for nomination. Both long-term work and high intensity in the dissemination of reliable knowledge are taken into account when evaluating achievements.

      "For five years, the Knowledge Prize has highlighted the best educators in the country and demonstrated how highly their work is valued by society and the state. In the anniversary season, a record 210 people received the award, with ceremonies held for the first time in all regions of Russia. We have shown Russians that today’s educators include not only teachers but also heroes of the Special Military Operation, Olympic champions, cosmonauts, and regional leaders. We are proud of our nominees and are ready to recognize deserving educators in the new season," said Kirill Khvil, Deputy General Director of the Russian Society "Knowledge."

      The expert council of the Knowledge Prize will select the best educator and educational project in each subject of the Russian Federation and will form a federal shortlist in 16 nominations. Since 2025, compatriots abroad can also apply for nomination.

      Citizens of other countries are invited to participate in the nomination "Foreign Educator of the Year." This is aimed at recognizing those who fight against falsification and objectively illuminate historical facts about Russia, tell about new opportunities and prospects in the country, and its role on the international stage in various fields.
