In Dzerzhinsk, police have identified a suspect in the theft of perfume from a cosmetics store.

      In early April, the director of one of the cosmetic stores contacted the duty unit of Police Department No. 1 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Dzerzhinsk. The applicant reported that during an inventory check, a shortage of goods was discovered - three packs of perfume totaling 6,714 rubles. Upon reviewing the recordings from the surveillance cameras, it was established that the goods were secretly stolen by an unknown woman. As a result of operational-search activities, police officers identified and detained the suspect. She turned out to be a previously unconvicted 70-year-old pensioner. Police established that the woman paid for part of the selected goods at the checkout, but hid three packs of perfume in her bag without presenting them for payment, after which she left the sales area. The stolen goods were seized and returned to the lawful owner in full. A criminal case has been initiated against the offender under part 1 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud). The thief has been placed under a travel restriction measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave.
