Self-employed residents of Nizhny Novgorod were reminded how to increase their future pension.

      April 20, 2026 09:17 Society Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region who are self-employed can influence the amount of their future pension. To do this, they need to accumulate at least 15 years of insurance experience and an individual pension coefficient of no less than 30. This was reminded by the regional branch of the Social Fund of Russia.

      The key condition is to voluntarily pay insurance contributions for mandatory pension insurance to the Social Fund branch. These payments form the experience and pension points. If there are no contributions, upon reaching retirement age, one can only expect a social pension — it is assigned five years later and does not exceed the subsistence minimum.

      To start accumulating experience and points as early as 2026, it is necessary to submit an application to the regional branch of the SFR (in person or through the "Gosuslugi" portal) and make a voluntary payment.

      The amount is determined by the self-employed individual. The minimum contribution is 71,525.52 rubles per year — it provides one full year of insurance experience and 1.037 IPC. The maximum payment is 572,204.16 rubles per year — it also forms a year of experience and allows for the maximum possible 8.72 IPC for the year.

      Funds for the current year must be transferred by December 31, 2026. Contributions for previous periods cannot be paid. If the amount is less than the annual minimum, the experience will be credited proportionally to the funds contributed.
