The organizers of the arts festival "Pushkin Without Borders" have announced the acceptance of applications for the creation of an art installation that will be located in the linden alley of the Pushkin estate and will be dedicated to the novel "Eugene Onegin." This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The international arts festival "Pushkin Without Borders" will take place from June 5 to 7, 2026, at the venues of the A. S. Pushkin Museum-Reserve "Boldino" in the villages of Bolshoye Boldino and Lvovka. This year it is being held for the third time. The organizers pay special attention to involving the residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region and Bolshoye Boldino in the preparation of the event. As part of the festival, an installation titled "Patterns of Memory: A Lace Alley of Light and Time" will be created. It will bring together works by masters and amateurs, students of art schools and children's studios — everyone engaged in knitting and decorative-applied creativity. According to the project's artist Nina Antropova, the result will be a long lace stretch that will hang from the branches of trees and become part of the festive decoration. Participants will need to create artistic objects that interpret the theme of lace, interact with light and shadow, and combine with other elements of the composition. Textile objects, works in paper and mixed techniques, lace and perforated structures, lightweight hanging or modular elements, lace made from various materials are allowed. Selected works will be combined into a single spatial installation, creating the effect of a walk through light passing through lace structures. By the end of 2025, the festival was attended by more than 20,000 people, and the audience for online broadcasts and podcasts exceeded 1 million viewers. The project was awarded the Grand Prix of the International Russian Event Awards 2025 in the category "Best Tourist Event in Hybrid Format." The festival is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
