One-time tickets for public transport may appear in Nizhny Novgorod.

This was announced by the head of LLC "Citicard" Yuri Ryabikov at a meeting dedicated to the issues of the transport system of the Nizhny Novgorod agglomeration. For tourists and those who prefer cash payments, single (non-replenishable) travel tickets will be available. An agreement has already been reached to sell such tickets at the railway station and the bus station of the TPU "Kanavinsky." In addition, negotiations are underway with major retail chains such as "Magnit," "Pyaterochka," and "Spar" regarding the possibility of selling tickets in their stores. As previously reported, the regional center intends to abandon paper tickets in transport. At the same time, new methods of cashless payment for travel are being developed. According to Yuri Ryabikov, testing of travel payment using virtual transport cards via Bluetooth will begin soon in Nizhny Novgorod buses.
