The 69-year-old woman received phone calls from unknown individuals who introduced themselves as employees of law enforcement agencies and other state structures. During the conversation, the fraudsters misled the pensioner, convincing her that she was sponsoring an unfriendly country. Under the pretext of needing to "cancel a suspicious operation," they persuaded her to transfer funds. Over the course of a week, the woman withdrew her personal savings and transferred them via ATM to the accounts they dictated. As a result, she suffered financial damage amounting to more than 2.5 million rubles. A criminal case has been initiated.
