Minin Square and the adjacent streets will be closed in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On April 17, 2026, at 18:50 Society Traffic will be restricted in the center of Nizhny Novgorod on April 20 and 22. On these days, from 00:01 to 16:00, access will be closed in the area of Minin and Pozharsky Square, the city transport department reported.

      The restrictions will affect Minin and Pozharsky Square itself — from Varvarskaya Street to the Upper Volga Embankment. Traffic will also be closed on Ulyanova Street (from Minin Square to Piskunova Street), Minin Street (up to Museum Lane), Georgievsky Descent, and on the Upper Volga Embankment — on the section from the square to Museum Lane.

      Drivers are asked to remove their vehicles from the closure zones in advance. Otherwise, cars will be towed. To find out where the vehicle has been moved, you can call the information service at "417-17-07".

      Detours will be organized on adjacent streets.

      Earlier, maps of the closures in Nizhny Novgorod due to May 9 were published. Drivers were also warned about new restrictions on Ilyinka starting April 20.
