Families of reservists "BARS-NN" receive support measures

      Families of reservists from "BARS-NN" receive additional support measures in accordance with the decree of the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin. Since January of this year, the children of reservists have been provided with free hot meals in schools. In addition, families are exempt from paying for kindergarten attendance. A resident of Nizhny Novgorod, Irina, reported that her husband signed a contract to join "BARS-NN" in October of last year. Her eldest son is in the special military operation zone and serves as a UAV operator, while the younger one is a ninth-grade student. After the paperwork was completed, the family received the right to free school meals. According to Irina, the process took a few days and was not difficult. The school principal, Maria Kiseleva, noted that three children from reservist families are studying at the institution, two of whom are in high school. She stated that the cost of meals is about three thousand rubles per month, and the provided benefit is significant support for parents. The head of the kindergarten, Zoya Romashina, clarified that the cost of one day of a child's stay in the preschool institution is 159 rubles, which exceeds three thousand rubles per month with full attendance. The benefit is granted after submitting an application, consent for the processing of personal data, a document verifying the parent's identity, the child's birth certificate, and a copy of the military contract. In one case, the processing took one day. The commander of the mobilization reserve "BARS-NN," Alexey Kramov, emphasized that it is important for reservists to have social guarantees for their families. According to him, recipients of support measures express gratitude for the assistance provided. Service in the "BARS-NN" reserve takes place in the territory of Nizhny Novgorod Region and does not involve sending personnel to the special military operation zone. Recruitment is conducted on a voluntary basis through military enlistment offices of municipal formations by signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Russia through the commander of the military unit. The contract allows for combining primary civilian work with military training and drills. During the contract period, reservists are provided with monetary support, equipment, and uniforms. During drills, their workplace and salary are preserved, and life and health insurance, medical assistance, and free meals are provided. Additional support measures for residents of Nizhny Novgorod who are in the mobilization reserve "BARS-NN" and their family members include free kindergarten attendance, school meals, sports sections and extended day groups, subsidized vouchers to camps and sanatoriums in Nizhny Novgorod Region, as well as priority rights for transferring a child to a school near their home. Families are provided with free medical assistance out of turn under the State Guarantees Program for medical assistance to the population of Nizhny Novgorod Region for the current year.
