The Unified Open House Day will take place in colleges and technical schools participating in the "Professionalism" program.

      On April 16, 2026, at 10:40 AM, Society: On April 18, a Unified Open Doors Day will take place in the Nizhny Novgorod region at colleges and technical schools participating in the "Professionalism" program. The event will be held at 49 educational organizations across various municipalities in the region. Educational institutions invite primarily 8th and 9th-grade students and their parents.

      As reminded by the Ministry of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region, since 2025, the "Professionalism" program has been implemented as part of the national project "Youth and Children." Currently, there are already 16 "Professionalism" clusters in the region – 15 educational-production and one educational, with three more clusters set to launch by the end of the year. A key feature of the federal project is the close cooperation between colleges and technical schools with partner enterprises. The educational programs offered fully meet the needs of the real sector of the economy.

      The main goal of the Unified Open Doors Day is to help high school graduates make an informed choice about their educational path. Children will be able to obtain all the necessary information to decide whether to continue their studies in 10th and 11th grades or enroll in a secondary vocational education institution for a specific specialty.

      "I am convinced that to make the right career choice, one needs to experience the profession in real life. This is precisely the opportunity that the Unified Open Doors Day at 'Professionalism' colleges provides. We invite schoolchildren and their parents to see modern workshops, talk to teachers, and, most importantly, meet with representatives of employers. Such meetings inspire and help students make an informed choice in favor of an interesting and in-demand profession," noted Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov.

      Guests of the Unified Open Doors Day can expect parent meetings, tours of educational institutions, and master classes on in-demand professions in the labor market.

      "The Open Doors Day at secondary vocational education institutions is a real chance for future students to learn the nuances of the educational program, assess their capabilities, and most importantly, find the specialty that resonates with their soul. Making an informed choice of professional path and educational trajectory is the key goal of such events across the country. Today, our colleges and technical schools can offer young people much more than just theoretical knowledge. 'Professionalism' means close interaction with production partners and leading employers in the region, practice-oriented educational programs, shortened training periods, and guaranteed employment," said the Minister of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Mikhail Puchkov.
