      On April 16, 2026, at 15:46, Society. Specialists from the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia presented a preliminary weather forecast for May for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The data is provided taking into account the climatic norm for the period from 1991 to 2020, as reported on the website of the Emergency Management Department for Nizhny Novgorod. According to meteorologists' estimates, the average air temperature in the region in the last month of spring is expected to be between +12 and +14 degrees. These figures correspond to the average long-term values. For comparison, the climatic norm for May in the Nizhny Novgorod region is also +12 to +14. At the same time, the amount of precipitation, according to preliminary calculations, will exceed usual figures. Normally, May receives between 35 and 50 mm of precipitation, but this year the monthly volume of rain may be higher than the average long-term values.
