The accident occurred on the evening of October 31, 2025, as reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to the investigation, the accident involved vehicles "Great Wall," "Ford," as well as a backhoe loader. It has been established that the 74-year-old driver of the Chinese SUV did not maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. As a result, he collided with the backhoe loader, after which he veered into the oncoming lane, where he collided with the "Ford." The passenger of the SUV, a 75-year-old woman, was seriously injured. Medical professionals diagnosed her with severe bodily injuries. A criminal case has been initiated against the alleged perpetrator of the traffic accident, a resident of the Vladimir region, under part 1 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles."
