The head of the migration department in Kstovo will be prosecuted for accepting a bribe from a foreigner.

      On April 14, 2026, at 15:00, Incidents In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the head of the migration department of the district police department will stand trial. He is accused of organizing illegal migration and receiving a bribe. This was reported by the Investigative Committee for the region. According to the investigation, in the fall of 2025, he, knowing about the illegal stay of a migrant, did not hold either the accepting party or the foreigner himself accountable and allowed him to remain in the country. For this, the accused received a bribe of 15,000 rubles. The basis for initiating a criminal case was the materials of operational-search activities of the FSB of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Currently, the investigation has gathered sufficient evidence, and the criminal case has been sent to court for substantive consideration.
