The final of the "I am a Professional" Olympiad for future educators gathered talented students from all over the country in Nizhny Novgorod.
On April 14, 2026, at 14:57 Society In Nizhny Novgorod, the final stage of the IX season of the All-Russian Student Olympiad "I am a Professional" – a project of the Presidential platform "Russia – a Land of Opportunities" – in the direction of "Psychology of Inclusion" was completed at the Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University named after Kozma Minin. Students from all over the country demonstrated professional competencies in a format closely resembling the real work of an educator.
Final participants were to develop and present entertainment for kindergarten children, taking into account the specified conditions: children's age, educational area, event theme, and the need to involve parents. The jury, which included representatives of the professional pedagogical community, evaluated not only knowledge of methodologies but also real skills in interacting with children: the ability to engage, maintain interest, apply game techniques, and involve parents in the educational process.
"Preschool education is the foundation upon which a person's entire future life is built. The final of the Olympiad showed that future educators are ready for such responsibility. They practically demonstrated how to engage children, find an approach to each, and make learning truly interesting. Such specialists are needed in kindergartens across the country," noted Valeria Kasamara, head of the All-Russian Student Olympiad "I am a Professional."
The competitive tasks took place in an atmosphere close to a real kindergarten group. Participants used game methodologies, interactive techniques, and creative tasks to hold children's attention and involve parents.
"2026 is the Year of Preschool Education, and the final of 'I am a Professional' is taking place precisely at Minin University. This is logical: this crucial direction requires not just educators, but 'engineers of childhood' who are proficient in digital tools. We are doing everything to ensure that the Technopark and internships in real kindergartens in Nizhny Novgorod become this 'talent pool.' Winning the Olympiad opens any doors, but our finalists consciously connect their future with the pedagogical school. And we are ready to systematically support their professional growth – from master's programs to their first successes in the profession," said Viktor Sdobnyakov, rector of the Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University named after Kozma Minin.
The All-Russian Student Olympiad "I am a Professional" is held as part of the national project "Youth and Children," which is implemented on the instruction of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
Over eight seasons, more than 1.4 million students have become unique participants in the Olympiad. More than 28,000 diploma holders have received the right to preferential admission to leading universities in the country, and over 4,000 people have become medalists and received cash prizes, the total amount of which exceeded 700 million rubles.
