      April 14, 2026 17:18 Economy The Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage calls on economic entities to submit reports on time within the framework of the extended producer and importer responsibility mechanism (EPR). The events are held in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated May 7, 2024 No. 309 "On National Development Goals of the Russian Federation for the Period until 2030 and Prospects until 2036," which provides for the achievement of the national priority "Comfortable and Safe Living Environment." According to paragraph 1 of Article 24.2 of the Federal Law dated June 24, 1998 No. 89-FZ "On Production and Consumption Waste," the obligation to ensure the disposal of waste from the use of goods is imposed on producers of goods (legal entities and individual entrepreneurs engaged in the production of goods, packaging in the territory of the Russian Federation) and importers of goods (legal entities and individual entrepreneurs engaged in the import of goods, including packaged goods, from states that are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union, or the import of goods from states that are members of the Eurasian Economic Union). In the case of production or importation from January 1, 2024, of goods and packaging listed in the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 29, 2023 No. 2414 "On Approval of Lists of Goods, Packaging, the Waste from the Use of Which Must Be Disposed of, and Standards for the Disposal of Waste from the Use of Goods, Packaging," the obligation to ensure the disposal of waste from their use arises.
