Only 100 participants of the Great Patriotic War remain in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

This data was provided by NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" to the regional Ministry of Social Development and Family Policy. Among them are 100 direct participants in combat operations, including 13 war invalids. 4,169 people from the total number are rear workers. Additionally, 107 residents of besieged Leningrad live in the region, as well as 111 individuals who were child prisoners of concentration camps.
