      On April 14, 2026, at 10:01 Society The Volunteer Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has opened a collection of humanitarian aid for the residents of Dagestan. Collection points are operating at 1 Dolzhanskaya Street and 19 Boris Panin Street.

      As reported by the organization, there is currently a particular need for equipment to pump out water and supplies for volunteers. Drinking water, food, and essential items for people in temporary accommodation centers are also required.

      Recall that in late March, destructive rains occurred in Dagestan. And in early April, the dam of the Gedzhukh Reservoir broke. The disaster affected about 15,000 people. According to official data, six people died during the flood. A state of emergency has been declared in Dagestan.
