Transneft - Upper Volga conducted 45 thousand tests of petroleum products.

      April 13, 2026 10:37 Society Specialists from the testing laboratories of Transneft - Upper Volga analyzed 45,000 samples of hydrocarbon raw materials and fuels in the first quarter of 2026. Of these: 10,000 were petroleum products and 35,000 were crude oil. The company guarantees complete quality control of oil and petroleum products at all stages of transportation. To achieve this, specialists conduct laboratory studies, determining key product parameters: from density and sulfur content to the amount of water and impurities. This monitoring covers all types of fuel: crude oil, aviation fuel, automotive gasoline, and diesel fuel, ensuring their stable compliance with current quality standards. As part of the "Equipment that does not require installation" program, the testing laboratories received new equipment. For instance, the oil laboratory at the Starolikeevo pumping station and the Ryazan pumping station received electric heating jackets for determining the mass fraction of chlorinated organic compounds. The petroleum product laboratories at the same stations were equipped with devices for determining the fractional composition and flash point in a closed crucible. Additionally, new hydrogen generators were acquired for the petroleum product laboratories at the Solnechnogorsk and Nagornaya pumping stations and the Starolikeevo pumping station. In 2026, the company continued its work on improving the qualifications of personnel in the testing laboratories. Since the beginning of the year, 9 specialists have undergone training. The engineering and technical staff improved their qualifications at the Ufa State Petroleum Technical University and during an industry seminar held in Tyumen.
