The demand for cooks and craftsmen has increased before Easter in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      April 11, 2026 15:18 SocietyNizhny Novgorod residents have been more actively searching for specialists to prepare for Easter. This conclusion was reached by analysts from Avito Services, who studied the March demand for services related to event organization and leisure activities.

      Interest in festive tables has particularly increased. The number of requests for home cooking services has risen by 72% compared to March of last year. Specialists are most often hired to prepare Easter cakes, cottage cheese Easter desserts, and dye eggs.

      The bento cake, a portioned version of the traditional pastry, continues to gain popularity. The demand for its preparation has increased by 14%. This format is convenient for visiting friends and exchanging treats: mini-cakes look aesthetically pleasing, do not require slicing, and allow for different options to suit guests' tastes.

      Before the holiday, Nizhny Novgorod residents also turned to craft masters more often — interest in their services has grown by 41%. For Easter, specialists create embroidered towels and napkins, decorative eggs, and panels with Orthodox symbols, creating a special atmosphere in the home.

      The decoration of spaces has also become more in demand. The demand for decorating with volumetric letters and numbers has increased by 70%, and for table decoration — by 25%.

      Additionally, interest in educational master classes has grown by 32%, where one can learn egg painting or baking Easter cakes to then delight loved ones independently.

      Traditionally, before Easter, residents of the region pay attention to cleaning, often combining it with a spring deep clean. As a result, the demand for cleaning services has increased more than fourfold overall, and for maintenance cleaning — more than twice.

      Let us remind you that on April 12, a Paschal procession will take place in Nizhny Novgorod (0+).
