More than 100 scientists and graduate students participated in the intensive "Science of Orders."
The mechanisms for attracting investments in R&D, tools for state support, and practical algorithms for interaction with customers were studied by young scientists from Nizhny Novgorod during a three-day intensive event "Science of Orders" in Nizhny Novgorod. The event brought together more than 100 scientists, graduate students, representatives of government bodies, and management from industrial enterprises on one platform. The organizers of the intensive were the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Nizhny Novgorod Scientific and Educational Center" and the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Project Office for the Development Strategy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region." Over the course of three days, participants studied mechanisms for attracting investments in R&D, tools for state support, and practical algorithms for interaction with customers. The event received expert support from the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Skolkovo Foundation, Gazprombank, and the Research and Development Center (AFK Sistema). "Today, the region faces a clear task - to ensure technological leadership through direct cooperation between science and industry. We see enormous potential in the developments of Nizhny Novgorod scientists; however, the key challenge remains their commercialization and implementation in real production. The 'Science of Orders' intensive allows us to shorten the path from a laboratory idea to an industrial sample," noted the Deputy Chair of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Ekaterina Solntseva. Special attention in the program was given to analyzing the technological strategies of companies such as JSC "UK BHH 'Orghim'," LLC "TPK Foliplast," LLC "Sibur PolyLab," and others. The format of the meetings allowed companies to formulate a clear request for innovations, while scientists received an objective assessment of the demand for their developments and an understanding of the necessary steps to refine them to the stage of industrial implementation. "For the Nizhny Novgorod Scientific and Educational Center, it is fundamentally important to act as an effective conduit between scientific teams and business. Our goal is to create an environment where every innovative project finds its industrial partner, and at the intensive, we saw a live request from enterprises for specific technologies in the fields of chemistry, automation, and new materials," said Alexander Tarasenko, Director of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Nizhny Novgorod Scientific and Educational Center." The period from 2022 to 2031 has been declared by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, as the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia. The main tasks of the Decade are to attract talented youth to the field of research and development, involve researchers and developers in solving the most important tasks for the development of society and the country, and increase the awareness of Russians about the achievements and prospects of domestic science.
