Electric buses in Nizhny Novgorod will start running more frequently and for longer periods.

      April 12, 2026 10:57 Society Starting April 13, the operation of electric bus routes in Nizhny Novgorod will change — passengers can expect an increase in the number of trips and an extension of operating hours. This was reported by the regional CRTS.

      On route E-31, the schedule will be significantly expanded: the number of vehicles will increase to 9 units, allowing for a 16% increase in the number of trips.

      The timetable will also be adjusted. The first trip from the "Gorky Square" stop will depart 24 minutes earlier — at 06:09, and the last one almost five hours later — at 22:55. From the "Shcherbinki Bus Station," the morning trip will be moved to an earlier time — 05:53 instead of 06:56, and the evening trip — to 22:10 instead of 19:01, which is three hours later than the current schedule.

      Additionally, changes will affect routes E-4, E-11, E-12, and E-14. Their schedules will also be adjusted, leading to an increase in the number of trips performed.

      Earlier, the Ministry of Transport explained why cash is being eliminated on Nizhny Novgorod buses.

      It was also reported that Nizhny Novgorod has become a leader in updating its tram fleet.
