Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region have been warned about winds with gusts up to 20 m/s.

      April 9, 2026 08:47 Society Wind gusts of 15-20 meters per second are forecasted in the Nizhny Novgorod region during the day and evening of April 9. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, citing meteorological data.

      Due to the bad weather, there is a risk of emergencies related to damage to power lines and the collapse of weakly reinforced structures. Trees may also not withstand and fall.

      Residents of Nizhny Novgorod are advised to stay away from power lines, trees, and questionable structures. It is also better not to park cars near them. Reports of downed wires should be made to the local administration.

      It was previously reported that a cold snap is expected at the end of the week. Additionally, a scientist has predicted snowfall in April.
