      April 7, 2026 17:22 Society Residues of medicinal substances were found in meat products produced in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by the regional office of Rosselkhoznadzor. According to the agency, samples from the companies LLC "Amedi Volga" and LLC "Kulebaksky Meat Processing Plant" revealed dinitrocarbanilide and monensin. These substances are classified as coccidiostats—drugs used for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis in poultry, pigs, and cattle. Additionally, they may be added to animal feed to accelerate growth. The presence of such substances in meat products is considered a serious violation of the technical regulations of the Customs Union. Declarations for the identified products were revoked. The producers were also warned about the inadmissibility of violating mandatory veterinary legislation requirements.
