Master classes for pregnant women were held in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On April 8, 2026, at 11:09 AM, Society In Nizhny Novgorod, at the "Oka" Congress Center, the VII informational and educational lecture series for pregnant women took place. The event was organized with the support of the United Russia party project "Strong Family." Specialists in the fields of motherhood, childhood, and childbirth assistance participated in the educational program.

      "Support for motherhood and childhood is one of the key areas of our party work. The 'Strong Family' project helps provide systematic assistance to young families. The lecture series for pregnant women has united women, doctors, and experts for the seventh time. Participants received not only useful knowledge but also emotional support, feeling care and attention. I am confident that such events strengthen the institution of family, increase the confidence of future parents, and contribute to solving demographic issues. I thank everyone for their active participation and wish health and happiness to future mothers!" emphasized Alexey Antonov, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and Deputy Secretary of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Branch of the United Russia party.

      The lecture series helped future mothers and young parents obtain relevant information on the most important issues. The topics discussed included: breastfeeding, non-medicated pain relief methods, the postpartum period, and the presence of a partner during childbirth.

      "Such events strengthen family values, create a positive image of the family, and support the status of pregnant women. Despite the enormous support measures from the state and the availability of quality medical care, every future mother has internal fears, doubts, and anxieties. Direct communication strengthens trust between the doctor and the patient, dispels all worries, and gives a sense of a happy pregnancy," noted Yulia Garevskaya, Chief Physician of City Clinical Hospital No. 29, Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation.

      As part of the informational and educational lecture series, a series of master classes for pregnant women was held. Participants were introduced to a set of gymnastic exercises, learned how to perform massages for infants, and discovered the intricacies of breastfeeding and handling newborns.

      "This event is relevant not only for future mothers but also for the doctors and medical staff themselves because it creates an atmosphere of trust. We provide reliable knowledge that will help a woman feel confident during childbirth and trust the doctor. Childbirth is a team process, and then it will go more smoothly, and the woman will want to return for another pregnancy, to give birth again. Also, we have prepared a surprise: today there will be a prize draw. The main prize is a certificate for contract childbirth with an individual doctor and enhanced comfort conditions," said Elvira Bitkina, Chief Physician of the Maternity Hospital No. 4 of the Lenin District named after A.F. Dobrotina.

      Throughout the lecture series, there was a zone for guests to meet and communicate with the doctors of the maternity hospital. Each participant was able to ask their pressing questions.

      "The impressions are overwhelmingly positive: there are a lot of people, many mothers, and future fathers. It is very encouraging that such events are held for exchanging experiences and for informing. This is especially needed for those who are having a child for the first time and do not know what to do: how to swaddle, how to change diapers, and so on. There are many master classes and lectures here that will help us in the future to properly care for a newborn," shared event participant Ksenia Elizarova.

      The program included the nationwide action "Two Hearts" and a dance flash mob, and there was a photo zone with a professional photographer. A fair of goods for pregnant women and newborn babies was organized as part of the event.
