      VK experts will teach listeners of the "Academy of Strategic Communications" how to work with new media. The Youth Media Development Center "SHUM" and VK have launched an educational course "New Media: SMM and Digital Marketing." It is specifically designed for media managers and is dedicated to working with new media and promotion on social networks. This was reported by the VK press service.

      Under the guidance of experts, listeners go through the full cycle of a communications specialist's work: from task setting and target audience analysis to material development, ad setup, and community management in the digital environment.

      The educational course "New Media: SMM and Digital Marketing" combines theoretical training with solving practical tasks. Participants work with cases that are close to real conditions in the media market and acquire skills that are in demand in the field of public and governmental communications.

      Training is conducted in an online format on the digital platform "Russia - a Land of Opportunities" as part of the "Academy of Strategic Communications" - the first federal program for training state-oriented managers in the media field. Upon completion of the online course and competitive selection, listeners may qualify for participation in the in-person part of the Academy of Strategic Communications educational program, which will take place from May 20 to 22, 2026, at the SHUM Center in the Kaliningrad region.

      Among the experts and course authors are: Nikolai Afinegenov, head of promotion and analytics at VK, Mikhail Matykin, project manager for community work at VK, Sergey Tomilov, director of strategic communications at VK, Tamara Chechotkina, head of marketing in the VK information security team, Anastasia Moskvitina, head of the VK content group, Evgenia Voronina, head of the content creator relations department, Ivan Markov, head of design at VK Tech, Maria Izgina, senior editor at Vkontakte, and other VK experts.
