"Heat networks" have begun the major repair of heating pipelines without limiting heat supply.

      April 6, 2026 14:03 Society Residents of the houses on Plotnikov Street in the Avtozavodsky District of Nizhny Novgorod are receiving full heating and hot water supply even during the major repairs of sections of the main heating pipeline. The company "Teploseti" (part of En+ Teplo Volga) is replacing 330 meters of 500 mm diameter pipeline at this address without interrupting the heating supply. The estimated service life of the new pipelines using modern pre-insulated pipes is 50 years.

      Alexander Prokofyev, General Director of LLC "Teploseti," noted that a significant preparatory work preceded the start of the current repair campaign: "We carried out the relocation of engineering networks that were in the zone of future work in advance to ensure the safety of the process and unobstructed access for special equipment. With the help of computer modeling of backup schemes in the heating network, we found a way to carry out repairs without limiting and reducing the quality of heating supply. The supply of heat and hot water to residential buildings and social institutions is carried out in a regular mode."

      Work on the site is being carried out in strict technological sequence. In the first stage, specialists dismantle the worn-out pipelines, and after preparing the trench, the formation of a new reinforced concrete channel will begin, followed by the installation of new pipes.

      Modern pipelines are equipped with multi-layer thermal insulation and will be integrated into the operational dispatch control system. This system allows for instant detection and identification of the exact location of a defect in case of depressurization, enabling dispatchers to promptly direct a repair team. The estimated service life of the new pipelines is 50 years, which guarantees long-term reliability of the engineering infrastructure and reduces operating costs.

      "We are consistently moving towards preventive modernization of heating networks. The use of factory-made pre-insulated pipes with built-in control and a service life of up to 50 years is a modern standard that enhances the reliability of network operation and, most importantly, maintains the usual level of comfort for residents," noted Alexander Prokofyev.

      The company plans to complete the major repairs in this section within two months. After the completion of the work and hydraulic tests, the contracting organization will carry out comprehensive landscaping.

      In total, in the territories of the Avtozavodsky and Leninsky districts of the city, the repair and construction of new pipelines will continue until the start of the new heating season. "Teploseti" will replace six worn-out sections of pipelines using modern pre-insulated pipes, replace thermal insulation on the overpass sections of the heating main, and also construct a circulation pipeline.
