The Georgievsky Congress in Nizhny Novgorod will be renovated by the end of June.

      On April 2, 2026, at 16:46, the MKU "GUMMiD" is looking for a contractor to repair the Georgievsky descent in Nizhny Novgorod. According to the documentation on the government procurement portal, the institution is ready to allocate 27.4 million rubles for this purpose.

      The repair will take place over a stretch of 0.84 km — from house No. 2 on the Verkhnevolzhskaya embankment to house No. 3 on the Georgievsky descent. Cracks and subsidence have formed on the road, and in some places, the curb stones are missing or damaged, and the manhole covers are destroyed. The contractor is required to bring the roadway to a standard condition.

      After the main work is completed, a lawn will be planted using hydroseeding with the addition of fertilizers and necessary additives.

      In addition, the contracting organization is obliged to dismantle old road signs and install new ones, as well as apply road markings with thermoplastic and cold plastic with reflective elements.

      Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until April 20. The review of the second parts of the applications will be completed on April 22, and the results are scheduled to be announced the next day. The work must be completed from the moment the contract is signed until June 30, 2026, inclusive.

      It was previously reported that over 300 million rubles will be allocated for pothole repairs in Nizhny Novgorod. It was also announced that Maslyakova Street will be expanded to three to four lanes.
