Flood-2026 in the Nizhny Novgorod region: bridges and yards were flooded

      On April 2, 2026, at 13:02, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, flooding has begun. As of now, water has flooded four adjacent territories, six bridges, and one section of the road, reported the regional emergency management agency.

      According to the agency, flooding is under control in seven municipalities of the region. In particular, water has entered the adjacent territories in the village of Shiloksha in the Kulebaksky district. A section of the road Ar'ya - Atazik near the village of Atazik is also flooded.

      In addition, two low-water bridges have been submerged - near the village of Kochkurovo in the Pochinkovsky district and over the Tesh River in the Navashinsky district.

      At the moment, there are no casualties, and evacuation of residents is not being conducted.

      Previously, flooding of four bridges was recorded. Two of them are located in the Semyonovsky district, and one each in the Borsky and Kstovsky districts.

      It was reported that Nizhny Novgorod road services have entered a state of increased readiness. Up to 70 settlements in the Nizhny Novgorod region may be at risk of flooding.
