In particular, residents and guests of the city will have access to more than a thousand scooters from the "Yurent" service, which is part of the MTS group of companies. In the capital of the Volga region, this mode of transport is most often used for trips from home to work, shopping centers, and gyms, as well as for "last mile" transportation—from the metro or public transport stops. Last year, such trips accounted for more than 82%. The average rental duration was 11 minutes, with more than half of the trips lasting less than 10 minutes. The service also noted a decrease in accidents. In 2025, the total number of incidents, including traffic accidents and falls, decreased by 30% compared to 2024. At the same time, 99.99% of trips were completed without incidents. To enhance safety, scooters are equipped with special built-in IoT modules that automatically reduce speed to 10, 15, or 20 km/h depending on pedestrian traffic density in "slow zones." Such restrictions have been introduced in parks, squares, boulevards, and on several streets. The equipment also stops the scooter in areas where movement on SIM is prohibited.
