Nizhny Novgorod residents will be able to check the accuracy of their blood pressure monitors for free on April 6-8.

      March 31, 2026 20:00 Society From April 6 to 8, 2026, a large-scale All-Russian campaign "Be Sure! Be Healthy!" will take place in the Nizhny Novgorod region. During these days, residents of the region will be able to check the accuracy of their home blood pressure monitors for free at specially organized points. The campaign is timed to coincide with World Health Day, which is celebrated annually on April 7. The event has been conducted by Rosstandart since 2018. During this time, more than 160,000 blood pressure monitors have been checked across the country. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the campaign is organized by the Nizhny Novgorod Center for Standardization, Metrology, and Testing (CSM) with the support of the regional government and the City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod. Last year, the Nizhny Novgorod region became a leader in the number of participants, checking more than 5,900 blood pressure monitors, which is 65% more than in 2024. During the campaign, specialists from the Nizhny Novgorod CSM will diagnose the output parameters of the blood pressure monitors and provide recommendations for their use. Participants will receive leaflets with rules for measuring blood pressure. A sticker "I am Accurate!" with the date of verification will be placed on functioning devices, which will serve as confirmation of their quality. In Nizhny Novgorod, the verification points will be located at the TOC sites and in the reception of the Chairman of the City Duma, Evgeny Chintsov. In other cities of the region, checks will take place at the branches of the Nizhny Novgorod CSM and at public venues.
