The nomination of candidates will last until April 30, 2026, on the official website pg.er.ru. Preliminary voting is a unique practice of "United Russia." The procedure allows every Russian citizen to influence who will represent their interests from the party as a deputy at the local, regional, or federal level. The 2026 preliminary voting is taking place ahead of the September elections for the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Citizens of the Russian Federation over 21 years old, registered in the region, can submit an application to participate in the selection. For participants of the special military operation who took part in the preliminary voting, an additional 25% will be added to the results this year.
