A museum of state civil service is set to open in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Meetings with representatives of government authorities are taking place within the walls of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management as part of the "GosStart. Dialogue" project in 2026. This was reported by the university's press service. "Such meetings are a great opportunity for career guidance and finding answers to questions about future employment," emphasized the director of NIU, Ekaterina Lebedeva. The first guest of the project was the regional Minister of Sports, Dmitry Kabailo. "Working in government is not easy and requires a lot of dedication. Some cannot withstand the pressure and level of responsibility, but those who choose to serve the people approach this with understanding," explained Dmitry Kabailo. In 2025, NIU actively engaged in the implementation of training under the national project "Personnel," providing free retraining for veterans of the special military operation, their families, citizens of pre-retirement age, and youth up to 35 years old. In 2026, 90% of the programs in this area were updated. Among the new in-demand areas are "Data Analysis Using Artificial Intelligence" and industry programs, including management in the forestry sector. "The Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management of the Presidential Academy today acts not just as an educational platform, but as an important link in the system of training personnel for the economy and social sphere of the region," noted the Minister of Demography and Human Capital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Igor Pantyukhin. Since 2025, the NIU of the Presidential Academy, together with KUPNO, has been implementing the project "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region." The program aims to integrate and employ participants and veterans of the special military operation into the system of public administration and enterprises in the region. Ekaterina Lebedeva is a mentor for one of the program participants, Artem Sazonov. "Artem is working on creating a common methodology for patriotic education of youth. Within this direction, he has a special mission: adapting veterans of the special military operation and combat participants, as well as involving them in working with the younger generation," said Ekaterina Lebedeva.

      Additionally, 2026 is a jubilee year for the NIU of the Presidential Academy: the university will celebrate its 80th anniversary in November. For this date, plans are underway to open a museum of state civil service and publish a book about the history of the institute.
