      March 29, 2026 14:31 Society After the landslide on one of the slopes of Zelensky Avenue on March 27, city engineers and the administration of the Nizhny Novgorod district conducted a thorough inspection of the area, the city administration reported. It was established that the soil, oversaturated with moisture due to heavy rainfall, remains unstable and prone to new collapses. In this regard, it was decided to continue monitoring the condition of the slope and temporarily halt traffic on this section of the road to ensure safety. The crumbling soil is being promptly removed by road enterprise employees. After the soil stabilizes and dries, an additional inspection is planned. Based on the data obtained and the conclusions of specialists, a decision will be made regarding the restoration of the slope. The work will be completed as soon as possible. The decision to resume traffic will be made depending on the condition of the soil on the slope. Safety is the priority, city hall emphasized. We remind that residents were warned about traffic restrictions on Zelensky Avenue on the night of March 28. Road machinery was working there. There is a threat of new landslides.
