      Recall that based on the results of the regular championship, "Chaika" could not directly enter the fight for the Kharlamov Cup, so it had to compete in the play-in against the leader of the Silver Division - "Ladya" from Tolyatti. The winner of this series advances to the playoffs. The first match was played by the Nizhny Novgorod team away and they won with a score of 6:3.

      Today's game took place in Nizhny Novgorod at the "Nagorny" arena. The match started dynamically: already in the eighth minute, the score became 4:0 in favor of the Torpedo team. The goal scorers were Gleb Pugachev, Sergey Skvortsov, Gleb Stafeev, and Vladislav Mishin.

      In the second period, the game continued in the same spirit. The Torpedo players scored two more goals - Artem Matyuk and Ivan Mullerov found the net, and in the third period, Vladislav Mishin and Alexander Yatsenko increased the already overwhelming score.

      Goalkeeper Marat Sabitov recorded his fourth shutout of the season.

      In the 1/8 finals of the playoffs, "Chaika" will face "Irbis" (0+). The matches will take place on April 3 and 4 in Kazan, and then on April 7 in Nizhny Novgorod. If necessary, the teams will play additional matches on April 8 in Nizhny Novgorod and April 10 in Kazan.
