The procedure for providing medical assistance to children has been updated in Russia.
On March 28, 2026, at 17:00, Society In Russia, the updated procedure for providing medical assistance in the field of "Pediatrics" has come into effect. The document was registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, reported the editor-in-chief of MIA "Stacionar-Press," Alexey Nikonov.
The procedure has been revised for the first time since 2012. The new version establishes the mandatory application of medical assistance standards and clinical recommendations.
At the same time, the final version of the document differs from the previously discussed draft. In particular, the recommended staffing standards for children's clinics have been significantly reduced. Positions of several narrow specialists, including nephrologists, allergists-immunologists, endocrinologists, rheumatologists, radiologists, and ultrasound diagnostics doctors, have been excluded from the list.
At the same time, new positions are being introduced into the staff — contact center operator, medical registrar, and administrator.
In addition, the requirements for equipment have been updated. The standard for children's clinics now includes, in particular, a set for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and a glucometer.
The list of equipment for physical therapy rooms has also been expanded. It has been supplemented with machines for mechanotherapy of the upper and lower limbs, as well as a stepper and exercise bike.
It was previously reported that two new centers for children have opened in Nizhny Novgorod.
