45 entrances to medical institutions will be renovated in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On March 30, 2026, 10:11 Society 45 sections of roads leading to medical institutions are planned to be repaired in the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2026. The work will be carried out as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life."

      The update will affect healthcare facilities in 23 municipal districts. It is expected that this will allow thousands of residents to reach hospitals, clinics, outpatient clinics, and FAPs faster and more comfortably.

      Leonid Samukhin, director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "GUAD," noted that the development of access infrastructure to medical institutions remains one of the priorities of the region's road program. According to him, quality roads ensure timely access for residents of remote settlements to medical assistance, simplify the work of emergency services, and enhance patient safety.

      The list of facilities for which access roads will be improved includes the Central District Hospitals in Bogorodsk, Gagino, Kovernino, Sosnovsky, and Shakhunya. The work will also affect district hospitals in Surovatiha and Sukhobezvodnoye, outpatient clinics in Blizhny Borisov, Prokoshevo, Novolikeevo, and Vile.

      In addition, the repairs will touch dozens of FAPs, including those in Inyutino, Kondrykino, Valgusy, Krutoy Maidan, Verkhnyaya Vereya, Serebryanka, Arzinka, Baikovo, Krasny Ostrov, Ilyinka, Mitropolye, and Chistoye Pole.

      The road works will include resurfacing, strengthening of shoulders, installation of road signs, and marking. They will be carried out during the 2026 road season. Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place during the repairs, while allowing passage for special vehicles.

      The national project "Infrastructure for Life" was initiated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. It unites 12 federal projects aimed at developing road and communal infrastructure, improving road safety, and enhancing public transport.

      It was previously reported that the new Bor Bridge and its approaches will be repaired in 2026-2027.
