The work will take place as part of the city project "Clean Sky," which involves relocating utilities underground. As reported by IA "NTA-Volga" citing the Department of Housing and Engineering Infrastructure, funding for the reconstruction of municipal networks was approved at a city council meeting in February 2026. Currently, specialists are preparing project and estimate documentation. The preliminary decision involves the dismantling of 17 existing lighting poles and the installation of 39 new structures. Additionally, 49 light fixtures are planned to be installed on the street, and about 1.5 kilometers of electrical cable will be laid underground. The construction and installation work is expected to be completed by December 2026. It is worth noting that the "Clean Sky" project was launched in Nizhny Novgorod in 2021.
