A press conference dedicated to combating crimes committed using IT technologies will be held in Nizhny Novgorod. Experts will discuss what fraudulent schemes are used by scammers; how not to become a victim of such acts; who most often falls for the bait of criminals; and what the Nizhny Novgorod police is doing to prevent and suppress such crimes. The speakers of the event will be the deputy head of the 5th department of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region, police lieutenant colonel Oleg Tarasov, and the deputy head of the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod, justice captain Denis Maslov. Additionally, the press conference will address the protection of children from fraudulent actions. Recommendations will be shared by the deputy chair of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod, the head of the financial literacy project "You Can't Fool Me!" Natalia Khalezova. The press conference itself will take place on Tuesday, March 31, at 11:00 at the press center of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Information Center (NOIC) at the address: Nizhny Novgorod, ul. M.
