The project of the branch of the Russian Museum in the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin has been sent for examination.

      March 27, 2026 15:53 Culture and Leisure The project to create a branch of the Russian Museum in Nizhny Novgorod is undergoing examination, reported NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" in the regional Ministry of Culture. Currently, the technical readiness of building No. 10 of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin exceeds 60%. As stated by the relevant ministry, adjustments have been made to the project related to replacing the equipment originally specified in the documentation with domestic analogs. It is worth noting that the project and estimate documentation was developed in 2021. However, some of the equipment specified in it is currently either not supplied to Russia or is no longer produced. The updated materials have already been sent for examination. The completion timeline for the work is still unknown. The first floor of the building is planned to house a museum shop, a café, and administrative offices, while the second floor will feature exhibition spaces of about 1,000 square meters. It was previously reported that the opening of the branch of the Russian Museum has been postponed indefinitely. It was initially planned to open in 2025.
