A center for the development of small chemistry has been proposed to be established in Dzerzhinsk.

      On March 26, 2026, at 13:19, the Economy In Moscow, a meeting of the Working Group on Personnel at the Expert Council for the Development of the Chemical Industry took place. Participants discussed the implementation of systematic personnel work in the regions. The Vice President of the Russian Union of Chemists, Dmitry Ogorodtsev, participated in the meeting.

      The key outcome of the meeting was the expansion of the geography of the pilot project for the formation of a managed model of personnel support for the chemical industry. The project initially started in the Volgograd region. The director of the Center for Advanced Training and Retraining of Qualified Personnel in the field of new materials and chemistry at TGU, Farhad Ragimov, reported on the first results of its implementation.

      The TGU COPP provides informational-analytical and methodological support for pilot projects within the framework of the national project "New Materials and Chemistry." Experts from the Russian Union of Chemists are also involved in the development and implementation of regional personnel strategies.

      Representatives from the Omsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions expressed their intention to join the pilot. As noted at the meeting, this confirms the demand and scalability of the proposed model.

      Dmitry Ogorodtsev proposed to create a Center for the Development of Small Chemistry in Dzerzhinsk as part of the project implementation in the Nizhny Novgorod region. He will be the official representative for interaction with the regional leadership and the project coordinator for the creation of the center.

      "The creation of the Center for the Development of Small Chemistry in Dzerzhinsk is a strategically important task. It is not only about developing industrial potential but also about forming new growth points, supporting small and medium-sized businesses, creating jobs, and retaining personnel in the region," emphasized Ogorodtsev.

      State Duma Deputy Maria Vasilkova noted the significance of creating new development centers, calling federal centers for industrial development assembly points for national projects of technological leadership. According to her, the task is to ensure that small towns are perceived as modern growth points where there are opportunities for professional realization, development of engineering competencies, and comfortable living. Such projects, she emphasized, ensure sustainable development of regions and the achievement of the country's technological leadership.

      The meeting also included representatives from federal and regional authorities, development institutions, and industry organizations, including the Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Vladimir Balakin, and the director of the Directorate for the Development of Personnel and Educational Potential of Investment Projects of the AO "Corporation for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region," Roman Zolotov.

      As a result of the meeting, participants confirmed their readiness for further development of the pilot model, its replication, and emphasized the need for synchronization of personnel, industrial, and regional policies.
