Within the framework of the event, the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Margarita Ushakova, the chairman of the regional branch of the Union of Theatre Workers (STD) of the Russian Federation, Sergey Kabailo, representatives of the Children's Public Council under the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and activists from the regional branch of the Movement of the First informed teenagers about the opportunities of the Pushkin Card and the repertoire of Nizhny Novgorod theatres for young people. Margarita Ushakova noted that the project aims to inform teenagers about useful and interesting leisure opportunities and is implemented with the support of the regional branch of the Union of Theatre Workers. Sergey Kabailo emphasized the role of theatre in shaping the personality of teenagers and its significance for moral education. Teenagers were handed informational leaflets about performances at Nizhny Novgorod theatres. The project #GivingWarmth was initiated by the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, Maria Lvova-Belova, on June 1, 2023. It aims to inform teenagers about accessible, developmental, safe, and free ways to spend their free time, as well as to involve specialists in street social work with teenagers. The event dedicated to World Theatre Day takes place in all regions of Russia. The organizers of the event in the Nizhny Novgorod region were the regional Commissioner for Children's Rights, the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation with the assistance of the regional branch of the All-Russian Public-State Movement of Children and Youth "Movement of the First" and the Association of Children's Movements of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The "Pushkin Card" program operates within the framework of the national project "Family," which started in Russia in 2025 at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin. Russian citizens aged 14 to 22 can obtain a virtual card through the "Gosuslugi.Culture" app. The card limit is 5,000 rubles and is renewed annually on January 1. Funds can be used to visit museums, theatres, exhibitions, concerts, and cinemas across the country. The schedule of events is posted on the Kultura.RF website. In 2026, the operator bank of the program changed in all regions of Russia.
