It is dedicated to issues of state and municipal management in the social sphere, including education, culture, sports, tourism, and folk arts and crafts. The program includes a total of four educational modules. The opening ceremony was attended by Acting Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Sergey Polovnikov. He welcomed the participants on behalf of the region's head Gleb Nikitin and noted that the authorities expect an active position from the program's listeners. According to him, the ideas and initiatives of the participants can contribute to the development of the state and municipal management system. "The most important thing in this matter is the sincere desire to help people solve their problems," emphasized Sergey Polovnikov, adding that with such an approach, it is possible to gain the trust of residents and increase the effectiveness of government bodies. Acting Minister of Human Resources Policy of the region Roman Markov reported that within the framework of the third module, participants will visit a number of significant sites, including "School 800" and "School 21," where IT specialists are trained. The focus will be on the practical aspects of management in the social sphere and industry. In addition, participants will undergo a preliminary defense of project works. "Our task is to immerse participants in the issues of each area to provide as much knowledge and competencies as possible," noted Markov. According to him, special attention is paid to understanding that the work is being done in the interests of people. On the day the module started, the Minister of Tourism and Crafts of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Sergey Yakovlev, Director of the Presidential Academy NIU Ekaterina Lebedeva, Mayor of Arzamas Alexander Shelokov, and Director of the ANO "Center 800" Yaroslav Krutovsky spoke to the participants. A program participant, SVO veteran Vladimir Petrukhov noted that the training combines theory and practice and also allows for acquaintance with management decisions on the ground. "We are gaining not only a theoretical base but also a multitude of practical skills," he said. The "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region" program is aimed at integrating and employing participants and veterans of the special military operation into the system of state management and enterprises in the region. An agreement on its implementation was signed in March 2025 between the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, KUPNO, and RANEPA. Following the selection process, 60 participants of the main program were identified, along with another 30 people who will undergo training after returning to the region.
