Four residents of Sarov were convicted for theft at a defense enterprise.

      March 25, 2026 17:35 Incidents The Sarov City Court has sentenced four employees of one of the defense enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod region, guilty of theft. According to the press service of the regional FSB, they stole components of the enterprise, purchased with federal funds for the needs of the state defense order, totaling more than 1.4 million rubles. A criminal case was initiated against them under paragraph "b" of part 4 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. As a result, one defendant received 2.9 years in a general regime colony, two received 1.9 years in a general regime colony, and another received 5 years of conditional imprisonment. Recall that last autumn, four former employees of another Nizhny Novgorod enterprise were brought to trial. They were convicted for bribes from managers of commercial structures, which they received for concluding contracts for the supply of material and technical values for the enterprise.
