The application process for the regional grant competition for NGOs has started in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On March 23, an application campaign began in the Nizhny Novgorod region for a grant competition for socially oriented non-profit organizations implementing socially beneficial projects. In 2026, the regional selection operator has been designated as the House of National Unity. Grants are provided as part of the departmental project of the state regional program "Social Support for Citizens of the Nizhny Novgorod Region." "By helping people in various fields, our non-profit organizations play an important role in society. We need to support this work. In 2026, the regional budget has allocated more than 30 million rubles for the implementation of the departmental project, within which grants are provided. The region has also managed to attract the same amount additionally from the Presidential Grants Fund," noted Acting First Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Andrey Gneushev. Non-profit organizations in the Nizhny Novgorod region that were registered no later than October 22, 2025, and do not have government bodies among their founders can participate in the competitive selection.
