Tram tracks will be laid to Shcherbinki and Novinki in Nizhny Novgorod.

      March 20, 2026 12:19 Society In the Sormovsky and Prioksky districts of Nizhny Novgorod, plans are underway to develop the tram network, reported the press service of the Legislative Assembly. Among the projects is the construction of a tram line from Myza to Shcherbinki, as well as a route from Olgino to Novinki and the residential complex "Oksky Bereg." The total length of the tracks that are expected to be laid in these directions will exceed 47.8 km. Authorities expect that the development of the tram network in these areas will enhance the connectivity of the territories. According to preliminary estimates, passenger traffic could increase from 48.9 million to 62.1 million people per year as a result. It was previously reported that the repair of the tram tracks on the section between Sozgorod-1 and Sozgorod-2 will cost 769 million rubles.
