According to data provided by the editor-in-chief of IA "Statsionar-Press" Alexey Nikонов, in 2025, residents of the region purchased 38,300 packs of such products. Compared to the previous period, sales decreased by 6.3%. In terms of emergency contraception consumption, the region ranked 64th among the subjects of Russia. The indicator was 12.5 packs per thousand people. Nikонов suggested that the decrease in demand may be related to residents switching to planned contraception, as well as a reduction in the number of spontaneous sexual contacts. At the beginning of 2026, the trend continues. According to the analytical company RNC Pharma, about 6,000 packs of postcoital contraceptives have already been sold in the region for a total of 5.4 million rubles.
